Welcome to Etz Chaim Kenya

Etz Chaim Kenya is a vibrant Messianic Jewish assembly of native African Believers in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus the Messiah). God in His Grace and Mercy has sovereignly drawn us into the knowledge and understanding of His Torah. We view Torah not as bringing us into bondage under the law, but rather we view it as a guide of how Believers in Messiah Yeshua, both Jewish and non-Jewish, are to live their lives out as Believers. God’s character is reflected in His Torah and in order for us to imitate His character we believe in the need to adhere to His commandments. We are not in bondage to the teachings of men and the countless additions and heavy burdens man has made to Torah (traditions of men), but rather we find freedom in the Holy Spirit to serve God in both Spirit and truth. In that way we can express our relationship with God both in the Commandments and in the Spirit. Yeshua, as we know, has fulfilled the Torah, that is, He brought it to its full and original understanding and thus has liberated us from the curse of sin and death. Torah, which once was our accuser has now become our teacher.
